How a pair of Ballroom Dance Shoes helped me live my Dream

I've always secretly wanted to ballroom dance like Ginger Rogers in the movies. There are five ballroom dances- Modern Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep- and learning any one of them begins with a single step- having the courage to believe you can dance! It could take the form of signing up for that first ballroom dance class, checking a dance book out from the library, or buying a how-to video. For me, it was buying my first pair of ballroom dance shoes. Well, to make a long story short, it turned out my I was a natural, according to the instructor, and I loved the feeling of my feet moving over the floor in my ballroom dance shoes.

And I've been taking classes and dancing like Ginger Rogers ever since.
